No Berms!

Spring has hit the Summit early this year. We still have snow, but it is melting fast. Sadly, Royal Gorge closed operations on Sunday after another great season. Fortunately, there are no berms along any of the trails! Kudos to Royal Gorge for holding true to their commitment!

The snowshoeing and back country skiing is fabulous. Get out there and enjoy our wonderful wilderness.

Please be aware that, as usual, no motorized vehicles are allowed on the Royal Gorge property. Snowmobiles and motorcycles (in a few weeks) are prohibited on their private property. It is up to all of us to work together to keep public access to these private lands.

Discounted season tickets are now available for next year's season. In addition to the standard 17-40% locals discount, there is a new 5-10% discount when multiple family members purchase passes. The price goes up on May 31st.

Working Meeting Minutes

The working meeting minutes from April 5th are now available. A discussion of the Royal Gorge development plan took up the bulk of the meeting. The board was canvased for their opinions and comments were taken from attending members.

Mark you calendars for the Spring Cleanup on May 19th! Come out and join us as we clean up all the trash that melts out of the snow and help keep the Summit beautiful. As usual, Nancy Latimer, Jennifer Montgomery, and Jack Schwartz will organize the event and have jobs for everyone that shows up to help. The DSAA will host the cleanup party afterwards.
