11725 Donner Pass Road, Truckee CA
Doors open 6:15 PM
Show 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Excitement and amazement are the hallmarks of the award-winning Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival on Tour. This year's theme is "One World" and it is led by a fast-talking wombat!

The feature films, both multiple award winners, dramatically present the interconnections between the big and small, the remote and the near. "Exploring the Mother of Waters" is an adventurous first descent of the dramatic Mekong River from its Tibetan source to the sea. The stunning "Queen of Trees," where you get an insect's eye view of the connected life on an African riverbank, is the film that won the "Best of Festival" award last year. Along the way, you'll also fly to the moon and see New Zealand's wilderness in a new light.

Presented by Patagonia, the 2007 Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival on Tour is a three hour show of exceptional award-winning films from across the world. There will be a raffle of great gear from leading local and national outdoor firms.

Sponsored by Snowlands Network, the Festival benefits Snowlands' work advocating winter public lands use planning, promoting sustainable winter recreation, and leading winter wilderness values.

The film fest is supported by Lost Trail Lodge of Truckee. Raffle gear donated by Patagonia, ASI/Alpine Skills International, REI, The Backcountry, and other great outdoor lovin' folk.

Tickets $13 in advance, $15 at door, students $9 (18 and younger with valid ID)
