March Working Meeting Minutes
The minutes of the March working meeting are now available. We've now got all of our bookkeeping online via Quickbooks thanks to our administrator, Lori VanMeter, which seems appropriate now that our bank account has swelled to over five digits thanks to our successful grant submissions! Of course the money isn't doing any good in the bank and so the board voted to commit $10,000 of funding to conduct a Summit-wide professionally crafted survey to help move us forward towards our goal of achieving consensus on development planning here on Donner Summit.
The survey is being developed out of the material gathered during the Summit Summit in December. Jim Thomson is heading up the Steering Committee which has been meeting regularly to consolidate the Summit Summit report and hire a professional survey company. We have a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) which will be distributed to potential surveyors in the next couple of weeks. In addition, we are working towards the development of a Memorandum of Understanding which will formalize the constructive working relationships formed at the Summit Summit.
